Happy Birthday, Mum
I wanted this to feel brighter, more personal, and a lot less like something grabbed off a supermarket shelf at the last minute.
What I really mean
I am just grateful we get to spend time together.
Another year, another birthday, another chance to celebrate life.
Whether it is getting a McDonald's and catching up over a coffee, or having a nice meal at yours, I always come away glad we made the time.
So here is to you, to today, and to the fact we get to do this again. I am genuinely grateful for that.
